Bricktop, a sizzling new cabaret

Happy New Year!!

It's been awhile and I haven't been good at keeping up our blog, but I promise to do better this year. If you haven't checked out our website, we've added some new and exciting features that I think you will like- a calendar, past seasons, metro information, etc.

And check out information on our current production under "Now Playing", Bricktop- a sizzling new cabaret which opened January 17th. Audience members are loving the show as they leave saying, "You've done it again!," "What great music!," "...such an excellent cast, where did you find them?" They are being called "The Other Dreamgirls." Another critic said there was enough energy and talent in this production to light up DC for a fortnight!

Everybody who was anybody frequented Bricktop's club in Paris in the 1920's. Come to MetroStage for a "party to end all parties." Bricktop and friends Mabel Mercer, Alberta Hunter, Fats Waller, Duke Ellington and more sing, dance, party and tell the remarkable story of these artists during the Jazz Age and the lasting impact of their music.

Bricktop runs until February 25, 2007 with performances Wednesday-Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 5:30 and 8:30pm, and Sunday at 3:00 and 7:00pm.
