Free Staged Reading Of A New Musical

You are invited to attend a free staged reading of a new musical with book & lyrics by Larry Kaye (director of MetroStage's acclaimed production of The Musical of Musicals: The Musical!) and Eric Coble, and music by Dan Kazemi (who music directed and performed in the DC Premiere of The Musical of Musicals: The Musical!)

March 9, 2009 at 7:00pm
NO RESERVATION REQUIRED

THE SHOW: Doris Blodgett starts her middle-aged day as she always does: house-bound, cleaning out her refrigerator, watching the "Accept Your Fate Bible Hour" with her only friend, Lucene. But before the next commercial break, she'll make a discovery that will change the world. There, in an expired cup of tapioca pudding ... is the face of Ezekiel the Prophet. Now she's the center of the universe, with everyone from her estranged daughter, Marty, to the suspiciously helpful CPA, Danny, and a mysterious trio of Wise Men descending on her kitchen -- along with every pilgrim with every ailment you ever heard of (and many you haven't).

"The Tapioca Miracle" is a hilarious new musical about fame, faith, finding your place in the world, and whether any of us are ever truly past our expiration dates.
