A comment about MetroStage's new season

Producing Artistic Director Carolyn Griffin thinks her 100-seat theater in Alexandria has found a niche in intimate musicals and revues, from showbiz tales to celebrations of African American musical and social history. "It's material that I believe in," says Griffin. She wants [diverse] theatergoers alike to experience the theater's full range of programming. "Everybody is better for it -- the artists and the audience, when we bring everybody together, especially in an intimate setting like MetroStage. It is really a communal experience."
